You Are a Light in The World
You are a light in the world! Let your light shine; and even more brightly this year than ever before. The world needs the light of each person to increase because the New Era of increased cooperation is being built on the power of light, truth, righteousness and energetically enriched living. We are units of light in the greater body of Light.
You can chose to shine more by deliberately each day. It is an experiment you can try for yourself to see if this actually works. When you wake in the morning feel as if you are shining with whatever positive emotion or constructive thought is most balancing. Visualize your body, emotions and mind glistening with Light rays coming from your Guardian Angel into every area of your life. Notice how you experience the day after doing this for 3-5 days. This is an act of inspired living.
You are Light; more than a body, more than feelings, and more than thoughts. You are the spiritual being at the core of these bodies. Shine friends, shine.

How to Experiene More Love In Your Life
I enjoy receiving Christmas cards and holiday wishes as much as anyone. It’s great to keep in touch during special times of the year. This year however, the number of cards and emails has declined even more than in Christmas holidays past. Perhaps people are cutting back on paper Christmas cards with a greater emphasis on virtual greetings. While the electronic cards are increasing in popularity, they don’t have the same affect on my thoughts as does one which requires writing a special note in pen, placing in in an envelope, sealing it and placing a postal service stamp on it. There is something to be said you for sharing these encouraging message at the Christmas, Hanukkah or other holiday times. I love the beginning of the New Year with all of the anticipation of new opportunities.
My family doesn’t connect with me as much as they once did, even during milestones like Christmas and New Year. I do still hear from my youngest sister Louise at Christmas on a regular basis. She has always been faithful at sending cards during the holidays. I appreciate her thoughtfulness because it does take a certain level of devotion to send a hard copy Christmas card.
It has been an excellent spiritual practice to regard humanity as my family as does the angelic kingdom, Christ and great spiritual masters. The Dalai Lama often says, “I regard everyone as an old friend as much as possible.” When I regard everyone as family on some level, there is a deeper level of joy in my life. At times when I connect with local people, neighbors and “strangers” with this motivation to awaken universal common roots of our spiritual ancestry, the warmth of love and compassion flows naturally. And, I simply feel more love in my life in general. The love from the angels flows more easily into a loving heart.
Since my ancestral family doesn’t pay much attention to me most of the time, even though I reach out often, I’m taking a new direction with my need to connect, feel love and express loving-kindness to others. My family members are busy with their own lives, children and grandchildren. This natural journey of greater independence from my family’s attention. As we journey through life we can either make a decision to love more or retract into a quiet place of sadness, loneliness and isolation. What benefits do opening oneself to all of the kindness within others, and sharing joy where ever it presents itself bring? This transition has been a great lesson in loving without expectation.
I find loving more even when others aren’t expressing their love is liberating. It gives you the opportunity to be the source of out pouring of joy, compassion and kindness rather than wait for the notice of those in our lives. Mahatma Gandhi said it best when proclaiming, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” If you want more love, give more love. Loving more is the best blessing.
As Mother Teresa said so powerfully, “Where there is love, there is God.” As you learn to love one another as Christ does, as all spiritual masters do, then the love of God comes easily into focus. Love is everywhere you awaken it. If you bring love to any connection, whether family, friends, co-workers, neighbors or complete strangers, then the world is filled with more joy, compassion and kindness. Yes, love is everywhere you bring it to life through attention to care for another person.

Aurora Colorado Shootings Are Deeply Troubling, but Take the Shield of Faith
“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” – Ephesians 6:16
The recent events of the attack on innocent movie goers at the Aurora Colorado Batman screening test our faith. Yet, these events can also strengthen us because it is a reminder how fragile life is each and every moment. One never knows the hour of our passing from the physical life. Thus, always maintain a strong faith connection to God, Source, Higher Power, Jehovah or whatever you call the great source of Loving-kindness which cares for our every need. Faith is the shield against darkness as well as a bridge across the abyss of senseless acts like this horrible crime.
This biblical quote reminds us to maintain strong faith in whatever form of connection we are most assured through. For some, it is daily prayer followed by some inspirational reading. Others are strengthen through insight or reflective meditation on the Teachings of Christ and His disciples. Still others link up through song or chanting the sacred names of God.
In whatever way you connect with God, make it a faith habit because like eating on a regular basis, this is how to maintain spiritual health. Faith is a human quality which must be fed through consistently accessing this part of our soulful nature. You know what happens when meals are irregular or missed; weakness results, making you vulnerable to attacks, illness, fatigue and accidents.
The most powerful times to rebuild the shield of faith are early morning just after you awake, and 30 minutes before sleeping. Turn the negative TV news off in the evening while engaging your soul. Angelic beings are most easily accessible in the early morning hours, right before sleep and during sleep. During these times our conscious and sub-conscious aspects of our mind are bridged most easily.
While we hold the families and 70 victims of this Batman movie screening in prayer, it is a time for us to draw closer to the source of love, to Christ, our angelic friends, guardian angels and God. They are here for us, but we must open our hearts during these trying times.
